About Playable Gift
Playable Gift turns one specific story into a small browser game for one person. Your kid's dinosaur obsession, the group chat's worst running bit, your partner's actual job: the joke becomes the rules. A card can say you know someone. A game can make their habits the obstacles and their strengths the power-ups.
How the games get made
Every brief is meant to produce new game code with its own mechanics, a way to win, a way to lose and a restart button, playable with a keyboard or a touchscreen. There are two routes. The homepage can build a game with Cloudflare Workers AI, using a build pass and a review pass (paused right now). Or your own agent writes and playtests the HTML, then saves it through MCP or the HTTP API. Either way you get a private preview and can keep revising.
Uploaded games run in a sandboxed frame that can't reach the network. The service checks packaging and enforces that isolation; it can't certify that a game is fun or beatable, so play it before you share it. WoolyMon, MORE SCAPULA and Bedtime Boss Fight on the homepage are separately written examples, not templates to reskin.
What's real today
- In-site generation on the homepage is paused. Bring a game built by your own agent, or play the examples.
- Private drafts, previews and revisions are free.
- Publishing uses Stripe test mode only: no real card is charged. The $9.00 USD price is a configurable test assumption, not launched pricing.
- Email delivery is off by default and, when enabled, only reaches the Resend test inbox (delivered@resend.dev). No recipient is emailed.
- Named gift addresses can be reserved but are not live.
- The optional Muse handoff (start.txt) has not been verified end to end with a real Muse account.
- Nobody needs an account or login to play a gift.
Credits, custom domains, gift-card rewards and editing after payment don't exist yet.
Built with
